Buildex International Group Ltd. began as part of a vision my father, Mounir Ghantous, set in motion in 2007 in China. From the very start, it was dedicated to creating exceptional furniture and tailored solutions for hotels and premium apartments. The company became known for its precision, quality, and relentless pursuit of excellence—a legacy that continues to inspire everything we do today.
“Our legacy is built on quality, creativity, and the courage to innovate.”
Growing up in this environment, I watched my father build a business that combined innovation with a personal touch.
In 2015, after completing my Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Marketing & Management) at Antonine University, I visited our main offices in Guangzhou. That visit marked my first real immersion into the family business, shaping both my professional journey and my understanding of the responsibility of carrying forward a legacy.
In 2016, I pursued an MSc in Management at the University of Liverpool, and in 2017, I broadened my global perspective through the Making Connections: Global Impact program. Upon returning to Lebanon, I launched Buildex Lebanon as a sister company, extending the family vision into new territory and blending international experience with local insight.
The years that followed were marked by challenges that tested both the business and my resilience. My father’s illness, his passing in 2022, the absence of a succession plan, Lebanon’s economic crisis, motherhood, and the disruptions of a global pandemic made the path forward uncertain. Yet these experiences became a foundation for growth.
“Challenges taught us resilience and inspired a bold, forward-looking vision.”
They inspired me to explore the critical role of intergenerational relationships in family-owned businesses—a focus of my master’s dissertation—and to expand my expertise through consultancy, project management, and training with NGOs and private organizations in the MENA region.
